Lima, Peru, June 24, 2019 - The FIVB Women’s Volleyball Challenger Cup returns to Lima, starting this Wednesday at Manuel Bonilla Coliseum and ending on Sunday with the winner qualifying to play in the 2020 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
Last year’s FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup was also hosted by Peru, with Bulgaria earning the spot in this year's Volleyball Nations League. For this current Volleyball Challenger Cup, Peru host Argentina, who will hope to return to the VNL after being relegated at the end of the inaugural season last year, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Croatia and the Czech Republic.
The participants have been divided into two pools of three, with the top two of each pool advancing to the semifinals to decide the medal matches.
