Set to represent the NORCECA region at the tournament, the Valkyries have players with significant international experience in their squad, such as Serbian two-time world champion libero Teodora Pušić and Puerto Rican opposite Brittany Abercrombie.
In São Paulo, the Valkyries will compete with Brazil’s Osasco São Cristovão Saúde and Dentil Praia Clube, Italy’s Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano and Savino Del Bene Scandicci, Peru’s Club Alianza Lima, Egypt’s Zamalek Sporting Club and Kazakhstan’s Zhetysu VC.
Matches will be held at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, located in the heart of Brazil’s largest city. The pool phase will go from December 9-11, with four matches a day. December 12 will be the rest day, with the semifinals following on the 13th and the finals ending the event on the 14th.

The first day of matches will begin with Praia facing the Valkyries at 10:00 local time (13:00 UTC), and will also have Zhetysu meeting Alianza at 13:30 (16:30 UTC), Conegliano battling Zamalek at 17:00 (20:00 UTC) and Osasco playing Scandicci at 20:30 (23:30 UTC).
On the men’s side, Brazil’s Vôlei Renata, Sada Cruzeiro and Praia Clube, Italy’s Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia, Poland’s Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Japan’s Osaka Bluteon, Qatar’s Al-Rayyan Sports Club and Libya’s Swehly Sport Clube will compete at the popular Arena Guilherme Paraense, nicknamed Manguerinho, Belém’s most traditional sports venue.
