Full of confidence after starting their first-ever Pro Volleyball Federation campaign with three victories, the Indy Ignite will try to continue collecting positive results this week, in the third round of action in the American League.

The team from Indiana will feature in one of the five matches set to be held this weekend, facing the San Diego Mojo on the road on Friday, at 19:05 local time (3:05 GMT, Saturday).

Following victories over the Orlando Valkyries, the Grand Rapids Rise and the Columbus Fury in the first two weeks of the season, the Ignite appear as the only undefeated team in the Pro Volleyball Federation.

The league’s second-best scorer with 76 points (71 kills, three aces, two blocks), outside hitter Leketor Member-Meneh has been a force for the Ignite in their strong start. The 25-year-old, who transferred to the team this season after playing for the Atlanta Vibe in 2024, believes that teamwork has been the key to the team’s campaign.

“I think we have so much love for each other, not just as teammates but as people as well,” she said. “So, whenever you have that amount of love for each other, it’s like, ‘OK, I’m not doing this just for me, I’m doing this for the girl next to me and the girl next to her and the girl next to her.’ That gives you an extra kick whenever things are down or things aren’t looking up. It’s like, ‘Hey, we’re in this together and we’re going to find a way to dig our way out of this and push through.’”

Their opponents, the Mojo are currently ranked sixth, with two wins and two losses. They defeated the Fury and defending champions Omaha Supernovas, but lost to the Valkyries twice. With five teams holding a similar 2-2 record, they could benefit tremendously from a victory on Friday.

Outside hitter Kendra Dahlke has been in great form for the team, which has some international stars, such as Cuban outside hitter Rosir Calderón and Korean setter Da-Yeong Lee – Dahlke ranks ninth in points scored (53) in the league and is seventh in digs (54).

Thrill and Fury play twice

With only five matches taking place this week in the Pro Volleyball Federation, most teams will play just once. Playing twice will be the Vegas Thrill, who will be on the road against the Vibe on Thursday and the Valkyries on Sunday, and the Fury, who will host the Supernovas on Friday and the Rise on Sunday.
