The Italians impressed in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-18) result over Egypt in Pool C, with Linda Manfredini and Adji Astou Ndoye scoring 10 points each to lead a well-balanced performance. Combining 40 attacks, eight blocks and six aces with solid backcourt coverage that created scoring chances throughout the match. Nijar Abouelhassan’s nine points, including four blocks, highlighted Egypt’s efforts at the net.
Argentina maintained their winning momentum in Pool A, rallying past Vietnam 3-1 (10-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-15) after an energetic start from the Southeast Asian side. Maria Bernardita Aguilar Toranza matched Vietnam captain Dang Thi Hong’s 21 points, while Martina Bednarek and Zoe Sharon Studer made key contributions in attack. Strong serving and blocking helped the South Americans turn the match their way.
In Pool B, China produced another composed display in a 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-10) win over Mexico, with Shan Lanfeng, Zhao Zhexi and Li Chenxuan all in double figures. USA also kept a perfect record, edging a close first set before finding their rhythm in a 3-0 (27-25, 25-17, 25-15) victory against Croatia. Henley Anderson led with 14 points, supported by Elena Hoecke with 13 and Ayanna Watson with nine attacks and three aces.
Brazil showed their depth in Pool D in a 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-8) triumph over Tunisia, with Larissa Brandao Mendes, Aline Segato Maestri and Rebeca Borges Viana sharing the scoring load. In the other Pool D encounter, Japan combined quick offense with steady defense to prevail over Bulgaria 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-12), as Sae Omori tallied 16 points and Koyumi Fukumura added 13.
Puerto Rico posted a 3-1 (25-20, 28-26, 19-25, 25-20) win against Canada, powered by Chareika Carrion Gonzalez’s 19 points and double-digit scoring from Karielys Michelle Melendez Rodriguez and Valeria Chloe Nunez Altagracia.
Korea’s quick transitions earned a 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-15) victory over the Dominican Republic, Czechia outlasted Türkiye 3-2 (25-22, 26-24, 21-25, 22-25, 15-8) behind a 36-point haul from Bara Rejmanova, and Poland prevailed 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-13) against Algeria.
Thailand came up with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-15) win over Chile, highlighted by Warisara Seetaloed’s 22 points.
Serbia wrapped up the day with their first win, battling through five sets to overcome hosts Indonesia 3-2 (25-21, 25-27, 25-23, 22-25, 15-13), with Bojana Ristanovic leading the scoring.
