Lots of confidence after this win - Jakub Kochanowski

Poland stunned 2019 silver medallists USA with an emphatic 3-0 win at the 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.

Matt Anderson (USA): "I really didn't know what to expect - my first time playing at the VNL, my first time playing in a match since the pandemic outbreak in Italy since last spring, so like 15 months since I was on the court. It was a tough game. Poland came out and they served really tough and made some big plays in the beginning of the first and second set. They put us in a difficult spot, but I think that we were responding at this time. We found some energy to rebound."

Jakub Kochanowski (Poland): "I wouldn't say that we played perfectly, but for sure we will have a lot of confidence after this victory, because it's not like the USA are not playing with the best team they have so they don't play well. It's always a tough battle against them and for sure we are very happy that we could show our quality and beat them pretty easily. Even though we had some troubles in the second set we could handle the situation and win 3-0. I didn't expect it, because I was prepared for a five-set battle."
