Fe Garay: "It's good to feel this spirit and fighting again with our National Team."

Rookies Canada stunned Brazil in the first set of their very first match at the FIVB Volleyball Nations League, but the 2019 silver medallists came back with all their might to close the game in four sets on the opening day of this year's edition.

Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone:

Jennifer Cross (Canada): "It's a really big deal for our National Team to be at the VNL. We played a really good game. Brazil played great but I think that there are some good things we can take away from this match. We maybe shocked them a little bit in the first set, but we decided to play aggressive in this tournament. The Brazilians are a high quality team and they managed to do adjustments and we fell behind, but that's okay we will get there."

Fe Garay (Brazil): "Canada are a great team and I think we didn't know their style of play. We began to understand their game during the match. It was good start for both teams. It's good to be back, it's good to be here to feel this spirit and fighting again with our National Team."
