The result solidified Minas' spot in the Superliga's top four - they continue in fourth place, now with 31 points, five more than fifth-placed Suzano Vôlei. Praia, on the other hand, dropped a spot, going down from second to third.
The victory highlighted Minas' strong form at home in the Superliga as it was their sixth-straight triumph in Belo Horizonte in the season. They have seven wins and just two losses in front of their home fans in 2025-2026.
Middle blocker Gabriel Bertolini earned the match's MVP award after scoring five points (three kills, two blocks). The team's top scorer was outside hitter Djalma Moreira, who produced 13 points (11 kills, one block, one ace).
"We've been playing well at home, and today it was no different," Bertolini remarked. "It's a different feeling when we play in this building, and the fans give us a lot of confidence and energy."
Praia's outside hitter Paulo Vinicios Silva matched Djalma's production, registering ten kills, two aces and one block for his side.
