The last leg of the regular season in the Italian men’s volleyball SuperLega Credem Banca will be played on Wednesday, February 25, with the main focus on a three-team race for the third place in the final standings before the quarterfinal grid is finalized. The only other issue yet to be settled is the exact order of the teams in the places from ninth to 11th, which will determine their starting positions in the playoffs for the fifth place.

All six matches of the 22nd leg will start at the same time, 20:30 local time (19:30 UTC) on Wednesday.
Itas Trentino Trento, Valsa Group Modena and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza are the three candidates for the third place that comes with a home-court advantage for the quarterfinals. So does the fourth place, but the team that finishes in fifth place will not have it. Currently, Trentino and Modena are third and fourth, respectively, on 44 points and a 15-6 win-loss record each, separated only on set ratios. Gas Sales are fifth on 43 and 13-8.
Itas Trentino Trento will host Cisterna Volley at the BTS Arena, and a three-point win (3-0 or 3-1) would guarantee them the third place, while a 3-2 victory would secure them a top-four finish. Cisterna occupy 10th place on 15 and 5-16. The defending champions from Trento swept October’s away match in Cisterna di Latina in straight sets.
Valsa Group Modena will also play at home, at the Panini hall, but against 2026 Italy Cup winners Rana Verona, placed second on 48 and 17-4. However, Modena did win the three points from this powerful opponent, when they visited Verona for a four-set match in December.
Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza will be on the road this Wednesday. They will visit the Kioene Arena for a meeting with Sonepar Padova Padua, running in ninth place on 17 and 7-14, and hoping to stay in that position before the fifth-place playoff grid is lined up. Needless to say, the team from Piacenza needs a victory to save its chances of a higher place in the final standings. In December, Gas Sales shut out Padova at home.
SuperLega rookies MA Acqua San Bernardo Cuneo are aiming to improve their position ahead of the fifth-place playoffs as they travel to the Allianz Cloud in Milan for a game against quarterfinals-bound Allianz Milan. The home team, currently on 29 and 10-11, is certain to finish in seventh place for a playoff encounter with Verona, but Cuneo have a shot at moving up from the 11th place, which they occupy on 15 and 4-17. December’s match between them in Cuneo went 3-1 the way of Allianz.
The participants in the other two games on Wednesday will stay put where they currently are in the table, regardless of the results.
Regular season winners Sir Susa Scai Perugia will entertain second-division-bound Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina at the Barton Energy hall. The reigning club world champions are in first place on 55 and 19-2. Grottazzolina trail bottom in 14th place on 6 and 1-20 before their last SuperLega match for the time being. Sir won the away game in Grottazzolina in December in straight sets.
Cucine Lube Civitanova will welcome Vero Volley Monza to the Eurosuole Forum. Currently on 37 and 12-9, Lube will take the sixth seed in the playoff grid and will meet the third-place team in the quarterfinals. Vero Volley, on 25 and 8-13 now, will take eighth place in the regular season standings and will face Sir in their first playoff series. When Vero Volley and Lube met in Monza in December, the home team celebrated a 3-1 win.
