Itas Trentino Trento against Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza and Rana Verona against Sir Susa Scai Perugia are the semifinal match-ups of the 2025-2026 Italy Cup in men’s volleyball. These four teams emerged victorious from the Del Monte Coppa Italia SuperLega quarterfinal duels played on Monday and Tuesday, while last season’s cup winners Cucine Lube Civitanova were knocked out of contention.

In the last of the four quarterfinals, on Tuesday evening, reigning club world champions Sir Susa Scai Perugia put a stop to Cucine Lube Civitanova’s ambitions to defend their Coppa Italia trophy from the 2024-2025 season. Playing at home in front of about four and a half thousand fans on the stands, Sir achieved a 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16) victory and advanced to the semifinals. Their Tunisian opposite Wassim Ben Tara contributed a match-high 18 points, including one ace and one kill block, while Ukrainian outside hitter Oleh Plotnytskyi fired five direct serving points to finish with a total of 15 and claim the Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors. His Polish cross-court teammate Kamil Semeniuk added another 14 points, spiking 13 at a 67% success rate and putting up one kill block. Bulgarian outside Aleksandar Nikolov led Lube with 16 points, including two aces. The other outside, Mattia Bottolo, and Canadian opposite Eric Loeppky scored 14 and 12 points, respectively.

In another four-set quarterfinal, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza claimed a 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 25-14) home win over Valsa Group Modena and a spot in the semis. Turkish outside Efe Mandiraci put away three aces and three kill blocks towards a match-high 21 points. Middle blocker Francesco Comparoni impressed with seven kill blocks and finished with a total of 13 points. Opposite Alessandro Bovolenta produced 15 points, all in swings, while Cuban outside Jose Gutierrez scored 14, including three aces and a block. Austrian opposite Paul Buchegger was Modena’s most prolific player with 13 points, while middle Giovanni Sanguinetti and Brazilian sub-in outside Arthur Bento added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Also on Tuesday, Rana Verona mastered a 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 29-27) sweep of their home game against Allianz Milan. Malian outside Noumory Keita topped the match chart with 17 points, including three aces and a block. Brazilian opposite Darlan Souza contributed 16 points, including a fantastic six aces. Slovenian outside Rok Mozic chipped in with 11 points. On Allianz’s side, Finnish substitute Veikka Lindqvist scored 12 points, including three aces and a block, while outside Francesco Recine finished with 11, including three aces and two blocks.

In the opening quarterfinal match played on Monday, Italian champions Itas Trentino Trento faced few issues against their visitors Vero Volley Monza and hammered out a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-19) sweep to advance to the semis. Outside hitter Alessandro Michieletto led the winners with 15 points, including three aces. Brazilian middle blocker Flavio Gualberto (three kill blocks) and French opposite Theo Faure (one block) also reached the double digits with 10 points apiece. Vero Volley’s German outside Erik Rohrs led his team with 11 points.

The Coppa Italia Final Four tournament, consisting of the semifinals and the final, will be played at the Unipol Arena in Bologna on February 7 and 8, 2026.
