The four direct-elimination matches will determine the participants in the Italian national cup Final Four at the Unipol Arena in Bologna on February 7 and 8, 2026.

Reigning Italian champions Itas Trentino Trento will host Vero Volley Monza at the BTS Arena in the season opener on Monday at 20:30 local time (19:30 UTC). Trentino, who finished the first half of the SuperLega Credem Banca regular season in first place, will have the home-court advantage against their opponents, who took eighth place. The champions are still leaders in the current league standings on 32 points and an 11-2 win-loss record, while Vero Volley are eighth on 12 and 4-9. The two teams have already met twice in the SuperLega this season, with Trentino sweeping both matches in straight sets.

“I expect a different match than the one we played on Friday in Monza, if only because in this one the winner will continue their journey in the competition and the loser will go home. There will therefore be a different kind of pressure to handle, but we're happy to be able to play in front of our fans. We're facing an opponent who gave us a hard time in at least two of the three sets played and who will be able to take to the court with a clear head and a loose arm. We must approach this match with focus and determination. We want to qualify for the Final Four, and we know we can achieve this goal only by playing good volleyball.” Marcelo Mendez, head coach of Itas Trentino Trento
“The last match against Trento showed that we have a chance to win, but we have to seize it, as we could have done in the third set. It's very difficult to play against Itas, because they play at a high and consistent level. However, I'm optimistic for the next match. We'll analyze the match and decide what to do and what to improve on compared to the league game we played on Friday. I'm confident we'll give everything we have to fight and secure qualification. It is a great motivation for everyone to reach the Final Four of the Italy Cup.” Erik Rohrs, outside hitter of Vero Volley Monza

In Tuesday’s competition day opener, Rana Verona will welcome Allianz Milan to the Agsm AIM hall at 19:00 (18:00). Rana Verona qualified for the cup quarterfinals as the second-placed team in the SuperLega half-season. Now they are in third on 31 and 11-2. Allianz, on the other hand, were seventh after the first 11 legs, but now they have climbed to sixth on 23 and 8-5. October’s game between the two teams in Verona was won by the home team in straight sets.

“Tomorrow's match will be very difficult. Milan plays well, with very economical volleyball, so they give their opponents very little. They will be a different opponent than the one we faced in the league. We will need to be very patient, especially in block-defense. We have a strong roster, called upon for its first great test. I expect them to improve their break play, i.e. blocking and counterattacking. I expect a great crowd. They have always helped us, and I'm sure they will do so again tomorrow.” Fabio Soli, head coach of Rana Verona
“We have a very tough match against Rana Verona ahead of us. They are one of the best teams in the SuperLega this season. However, I believe we will also have a chance if we can perform at our level, stay united and play truly as a team. We have prepared and are preparing as best we can for this match, the first truly important one of the season, and I am optimistic, and above all excited, to be able to compete for such an achievement.” Nemanja Masulovic, middle blocker of Allianz Milan

Also on Tuesday, at 19:30 (18:30), Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza will entertain Valsa Group Modena at the Banca Sport hall. Based on the way these two teams qualified for the Italy Cup, as fourth and fifth at the half-season, respectively, this should be the most closely contested quarterfinal. Currently, Gas Sales are down to seventh place on 23 and 7-6, while Modena are up to fourth on 28 and 9-4. In October, Modena celebrated a four-set road win in Piacenza.

“It'll be a tough match against Modena, and not just because it's a do-or-die game. We're facing another team with strong serving, and they're proving it game after game. Against Civitanova, we figured out what we need, and we'll capitalize on it for this match, which leads straight to the Coppa Italia Final Four. We'll get back some players we held out as a precaution in the last game. I'm sure it'll be a great show against Modena, and we'll do everything we can to give our fans another thrill.” Dante Boninfante, head coach of Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza
“The match against Piacenza will be a chance to test our progress. We're facing a strong opponent coming off a difficult period, but one that can count on a complete squad in many respects, and despite the defeat against Civitanova, they showed quality. We're coming into the match on the up, and after four consecutive wins, we'll need to play well, and I hope the team can maintain a strong level on the road as well.” Alberto Giuliani, head coach of Valsa Group Modena

The last quarterfinal on the program will offer a high-profile clash between reigning club world champions Sir Susa Scai Perugia and defending Italy Cup laureates Cucine Lube Civitanova. The game at the Barton Energy hall in Perugia will serve off at 20:30 (19:30) on Tuesday. Sir booked their Coppa Italia spot with their third place in the SuperLega half-season. Now they are second on 32 and 11-2, but with a lower set ratio than Trentino’s. Lube finished the first half in sixth place, but have since moved up to fifth on 25 and 8-5. The two teams put up a five-set battle, when they met in Perugia in October, with Sir emerging with a tie-breaker victory.

“Now we're focused on the 30th. We knew that having it so close to the Club World Championship would make this quarterfinal even more difficult, but we're happy to be here and we'll try to work as hard as we can. I had already told the boys what December would be like: little ball and a lot of attention.” Angelo Lorenzetti, head coach of Sir Susa Scai Perugia
“Lube is confident thanks to three straight wins in the regular season, and I'm pumped about winning three consecutive MVP awards. It's the first time I've won one in Italy. But what matters is the team's results and our ability to help the group. We know it will be a tough match in Perugia because we'll face a team in great shape, both technically and mentally, but we've gained experience and we are ready to fight. We'll do everything we can to return to the Final Four and defend the title we won last season.” Eric Loeppky, opposite of Cucine Lube Civitanova
