With Sir Susa Vim Perugia advancing to the Italian 2023-2024 SuperLega Credem Banca final, the line-up of four participants in the 2024-2025 Del Monte Supercoppa Italiana shaped up. Sir will try to defend their 2023 trophy in competition with Itas Trentino Trento, Mint Vero Volley Monza and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza.
All three of the remaining contenders for the 2024 national title – Sir, Trentino and Vero Volley – had already secured their places in the battles for next season’s first big domestic trophy in Italy. The teams from Perugia and Monza booked their berths as 2024 Coppa Italia finalists, while the squad from Trento did so as the SuperLega regular season winners.
So, whoever wins the title in the upcoming championship series will free a spot for the next best team in the regular season standings and that would be third-placed Gas Sales.
The exact seeding of the four participating teams for the Supercoppa Italiana will be determined with the completion of the final SuperLega playoff.
