Going through an inconsistent moment in the 2025-2026 Polish PlusLiga, Asseco Resovia Rzeszow want to find their best form ahead of the start of the playoffs, and improving their road record will be a big step in that direction.

Ranked fifth in the standings, the team from Rzeszów will have a good opportunity to earn a positive result away from their stadium during the 24th leg, as they're set to face last-placed Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Czestochowa on Saturday, at 17:30 local time (16:30 UTC).

Resovia had a promising start to their season when playing as visitors, as they won their first four road matches, but their form started to drop in December, until getting to the current point, when they have six victories and six losses away from their homecourt.

Since the end of December, the team has only one triumph in five road matches, and those results contributed to their recent drop in the standings, which took them down from third to fifth.

"We're trying to prepare the team for the most important moments of the season, and we're not stable yet," head coach Massimo Botti said. "We'll certainly have a very difficult match this weekend. We need to approach it as a final, because besides needing a good result to improve our position in the standings, we also want to play better than we did last week. They desperately need the points, so we need to be ready for a very tough match."

With 16 points, Czestochowa have their backs against the wall in the race to avoid relegation and need to earn as many points as they can before the end of the regular season to keep their hopes of staying in the Polish elite alive. They have a four-point gap and one game in hand over InPost ChKS Chełm, who rank 13th.

Saturday will mark the second encounter between the teams in the season, and Resovia triumphed 3-1 in the first round of the regular season. They have three wins and two losses against Czestochowa in PlusLiga history.
