PlusLiga midweek action will open on Tuesday, December 2, at 17:30 local time (16:30 UTC) with InPost ChKS Chelm hosting Asseco Resovia Rzeszow at the MOSiR in an eighth-leg game. The PlusLiga rookies are in 11th place on 6 points and a 2-6 win-loss record, while their visitors from Rzeszow are sixth on 17 and 6-2.

“We are excited about the challenge and focused on our match in Chelm. Our opponents may not be very high in the table, but you can see they're really putting pressure on a lot of different teams, so we have to be ready for a tough fight.” Erik Shoji, libero of Asseco Resovia Rzeszow

Later on Tuesday, at 20:00 (19:00), in Elblag, Ukraine’s Barkom Kazhany Lviv will welcome Cuprum Stilon Gorzow Wielkopolski for their fourth-leg fixture in an attempt to get back closer to the playoff zone and further distance themselves from the danger zone at the bottom of the table. Barkom are currently in 10th place on 9 and 3-5. Cuprum Stilon, on the other hand, are very close to the relegation zone, standing second from the bottom, in 13th place on 5 and 1-8, and for them, every match should be treated as a battle for survival.

Wednesday’s program offers two high-profile clashes, starting at 17:30 (16:30) with defending champions BOGDANKA LUK Lublin entertaining Energa Trefl Gdansk at the Globus for their eighth-leg encounter. Lublin are now well back on the winning track with three consecutive victories following a negative run of three consecutive losses. They are in fourth place on 19 and 6-3. After two back-to-back five-set wins at home, Trefl stand seventh on 12 and 5-3, and ready to extend their success on the road as well.

In the late match, serving off at 20:00 (19:00), table leaders Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, participants in the upcoming FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship in Brazil, will play at PGE GiEK SKRA Belchatow. The Energia hall in Belchatow will stage this fifth-leg fixture with both sides eager to bounce back from losing their most recent games over the weekend. Having already played more matches than anybody else, Aluron stand on top of the table on 24 and 8-3. After SKRA’s six-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday, they dropped to fifth place on 18 and 6-2.

The eighth leg will come to a completion on Thursday, when ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle welcome Slepsk Malow Suwalki to the Azoty. The game serves off at 17:30 (16:30). Both teams will arrive with two consecutive losses to recover from, but while ZAKSA are hanging on to a place near the playoff zone, standing ninth on 11 and 3-5, Slepsk Malow are back down in the relegation zone, trailing bottom in 14th place on 4 and 1-7.
