Eighth-placed JSW Jastrzebski Wegiel Jastrzebie-Zdroj will host seventh-placed Energa Trefl Gdansk on Tuesday evening at 20:00 local (19:00 UTC). On 18 points and a 7-4 win-loss record each, the two teams are separated in the current standings on set ratios, with Trefl edging ahead with 25-20 against Jastrzebski Wegiel’s 23-19. The team from Jastrzebie-Zdroj won the 2024-2025 regular season, but they have had a shaky performance so far this season. However, they are coming into this match on a three-game winning streak in the PlusLiga, their first since the start of the league. Trefl have not had such a streak yet, but will do, if they beat Jastrzebski Wegiel on Tuesday, as they won their previous two matches in the PlusLiga. The two clubs met twice last season, with Jastrzebski Wegiel winning each of the two encounters in four sets. They also lead the all-time head-to-head series in the PlusLiga by 30-9 in wins.

The midweek program will open earlier on Tuesday with PGE GiEK SKRA Belchatow welcoming Slepsk Malow Suwalki to the Energia at 17:30 (16:30). While SKRA are in contention for the top spots in the table and currently stand fourth on 24 and 8-3, their visitors from Suwalki are battling for survival in the league. However, SKRA lost their most recent match in straight sets in Gdansk, while Slepsk Malow hammered out a precious straight-set home win over a direct rival in the low end of the standings to climb to 11th place on 8 and 2-9.
Wednesday’s action will serve off at 17:30 (16:30). Bottom-placed Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Czestochowa will entertain ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle in an attempt to push up and away from the red-zone 14th place, which they occupy on 5 and 1-10. ZAKSA, on the other hand, hope to rejoin the playoff zone, as they are currently right below it, in ninth place on 16 and 5-6.
One more 12th-leg game will be played on Thursday. Barkom Kazhany Lviv will host Asseco Resovia Rzeszow in Elblag at 18:30 (17:30). The Ukrainian team is in 10th place on 10 and 3-8, while Resovia are running fifth on 23 and 8-3.
The first match of the 12th leg was played over month ago, when Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, participants in this week’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship in Brazil, shut out Cuprum Stilon Gorzow Wielkopolski on the road. The remaining two games of the leg – InPost ChKS Chelm v Indykpol AZS Olsztyn and BOGDANKA LUK Lublin v PGE Projekt Warsaw – are scheduled for next week, on December 23.
