The PlusLiga weekend will get underway on Saturday, November 15, at 14:45 local time (13:45 UTC), with a game between last season’s silver medalists and current table leaders Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and 2024-2025 regular season winners JSW Jastrzebski Wegiel Jastrzebie-Zdroj. The hosts from Zawiercie have been picking up speed ahead of next month’s participation in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship in Brazil and, with six matches already played, they have emerged on top of the current standings on 14 points and a 5-1 win-loss record. Meanwhile, with ups and downs since the start of the new season, mighty Jastrzebski Wegiel stand untypically low in the table, in ninth place on 5 and 2-2.
Last season, the two teams met five times. Jastrzebski Wegiel triumphed as Poland Super Cup winners after a nail-biting five-set duel with Aluron. They traded straight-set road wins in the PlusLiga. Then, Jastrzebski achieved a four-set victory over Aluron in the Poland Cup final, before their five-set battle in a CEV Champions League semifinal, which the squad from Zawiercie won to qualify for the Club World Championship as one of Europe’s representatives. The all-time head-to-head record in official matches between the two clubs stands at 20-11 Jastrzebski’s way.

At the same time on Sunday, defending champions BOGDANKA LUK Lublin will host the only still undefeated team this PlusLiga season, Asseco Resovia Rzeszow. As they meet at the Globus hall in Lublin, the home team will try to get back on the winning track after suffering two losses in a row, their first this season, while Resovia will aim to extend their victory streak to five consecutive matches. Lublin are running in fifth place on 9 and 3-2, while their visitors from Rzeszow stand third on 11 and 4-0, with a game in hand. In 2024-2025, BOGDANKA took a four-set home win over this opponent, but Resovia took their revenge after a five-set game in Rzeszow, improving the overall head-to-head record to 6-3 their way.
Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, who are running second in the table on 12 and 4-1, will visit Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Czestochowa on Saturday at 17:30 (16:30). The home team is in 11th place on 3 and 1-3.
Fourth-placed PGE GiEK SKRA Belchatow will also play on the road this weekend. On 9 and 3-1, with a game in hand, they will take on PlusLiga rookies InPost ChKS Chelm at the MOSiR on Sunday at 17:30 (16:30). Chelm occupy 12th place on 2 and 1-3.
Last season’s bronze medalists PGE Projekt Warsaw will entertain Energa Trefl Gdansk at the Torwar on Sunday at 20:00 (19:00) for a game between table neighbors. On a 3-2 win-loss record each, Projekt are sixth on 9 points, and Trefl are seventh on 8.
Eighth-placed Barkom Kazhany Lviv will travel to 10th-placed ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle for their game at the Azoty hall on Saturday at 20:00 (19:00). Surprisingly, the Ukrainian team is ahead of mighty ZAKSA in the standings on 6 and 2-2 against 5 and 1-3.
The leg will close on Monday with a clash between the two winless teams at the bottom of the table. Cuprum Stilon Gorzow Wielkopolski, standing 13th on 2 and 0-5, will host Slepsk Malow Suwalki, 14th on 1 and 0-5, at the Arena Gorzow at 20:00 (19:00).
