Belgium claimed a 3-1 victory over Argentina (25-19, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20) on the last day of play in Pool C. Thanks to this victory, the Belgian players finish first in Pool A of the Preliminary Round.

Valentino Vidoni, opposite hitter of Argentina: “It was a difficult match for us. We didn’t start in the best possible way. We were tired after yesterday’s match against Iran. Furthermore, we tried showing our game today, and in some moments after the first two sets, we delivered our play.”

Martin Perin, libero of Belgium: “It was a good game for us. We pushed on the serve. We started with our good performance on the serve yesterday, but today was even better. I believe that we were able to maintain our level in these three matches, but we will continue to push in the next matches that will be more difficult. I am proud of my team! We are very happy to finish first in the pool.”
