"I wrote these songs about real people, that I know and love, with real stories that matter," she said.
"I wouldn’t want to start off in any other way than to be writing about my people and what I care about; my first things."
Music has been a big part of Brie King's life over the last ten years. And she has worked hard to put together this album.
Writing on Instagram, she added: "My goal as a songwriter is to portray stories in a way that would make a listener, (you!) feel something real and important. This album is a reflection of what I want to be about; honest, passionate and full of life. These are my first things. And i want to keep it that way:)"
King, who also ranked third in this year's inaugural edition of the Athletes Unlimited Volleyball League, directed Canada's plays at the 2021 VNL as they claimed victories against China, Germany and Serbia in their first participation in the event.
She will play the upcoming club season with the Beziers Angels in France.
