Serbia, Italy complete Tokyo 2020 puzzle
Lausanne, Switzerland, August 4, 2019 - Serbia and Italy were the last
two teams to advance to the women's volleyball tournament of the Tokyo
2020 Olympic Games as this weekend's qualifiers across the world wrapped
up on Sunday. They join Brazil, China, Russia and USA who had earlier
punched their tickets, plus Japan who were qualified by default as
hosts.

Russia claim spot at Tokyo 2020 after five-set win against Korea
Kaliningrad, Russia, August 4, 2019 – Russia claimed a five-set win against Korea 3-2 (21-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-16, 15-11) on Sunday to claim a spot at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The two teams had won back-to-back matches on the first two days and were playing for the Olympic berth in the qualification tournament in Kaliningrad on Sunday, the final day of the competition.

the Dominican Republic, Saturday in Uberlandia.

Goncharova scores 21 as Russia and Korea earn second victories in Kaliningrad
Kaliningrad, Russia, August 3, 2019 – Hosts Russia and Korea claimed their second victories in Tokyo Volleyball Qualification Pool E on Saturday as the hosts defeated Canada 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-22) and Korea outplayed Mexico 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 26-24). Russia and Korea meet on Sunday in Kaliningrad to decide the pool winners.

Kim Yeon-koung scores 37 to power Korea to victory against Canada in Pool E
Kaliningrad, Russia, August 2, 2019 - In the first match of the day in Pool E, Korea defeated Canada 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-20). Kim Yeon-koung led scoring for the Asian team with a stunning 37 points. Alexa Lea Gray scored 22 for the North Americans.

Brazil, Dominican Republic take first step on Road to Tokyo 2020

Intercontinental Olympic Qualification Tournament hosts announced
Lausanne, Switzerland, January 30, 2019 - Eleven of the twelve hosts of the FIVB Volleyball Intercontinental Olympic Qualification Tournaments to be held in August have been confirmed.
