Tokyo Volleyball Qualification – Final results and standings - Men
Lausanne, Switzerland, August 11, 2019 – Men's Tokyo Volleyball Qualification action was completed on Sunday with twelve matches played across six pools. The top team in each pool earned a place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games including Brazil (Pool A), USA (Pool B), Italy (Pool C), Poland (Pool D), Russia (Pool E) and Argentina (Pool F).

Italy defeat Serbia to make up the Tokyo 2020 numbers
Lausanne, Switzerland, August 11, 2019 - Italy wrapped up a thrilling day of Olympic qualifiers across the world, crushing Serbia on Sunday night in Bari 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-19) in just an hour and a half to secure the weekend's last available ticket for the men's volleyball tournament of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Pool E: Poletaev and Russia shut out Iran to secure Tokyo quota
St. Petersburg, Russia, August 11, 2019 – In the deciding match in Pool E of Tokyo Volleyball Qualification, the men’s national team of Russia hammered out a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-23) shutout of Iran to claim their third victory in St. Petersburg and a ticket to the 2020 Olympic Games. Victor Poletaev contributed 19 points to his side’s victory.

Lausanne, Switzerland, January 30, 2019 - Eleven of the twelve hosts of the FIVB Volleyball Intercontinental Olympic Qualification Tournaments to be held in August have been confirmed.
