In 2023, Volleyball World ranked third overall among Olympic International Federations in the BCW all International Sports Federations (IF) Social Media Ranking, and fourth for the most followers across social media platforms, boasting nearly 16 million followers. That same year, the official YouTube channel saw a 48% increase, surpassing 3.2 million subscribers.
In June 2023, the FIVB, in collaboration with Volleyball World, announced that the World Championships for both Indoor and Beach formats will shift from a quadrennial to a biennial schedule starting in 2025. For the first time, the 2025 men’s and women’s indoor World Championships will both take place in Asia. A testament to Volleyball World’s global reach.
In September 2024, Volleyball World's streaming service, VBTV, reached 1.5 million subscribers, reflecting its rapid growth as a premier destination for volleyball content. The platform offers live and on-demand coverage of major FIVB and AVC tournaments, Italy's Serie A1 leagues, Brazil's top competitions, and significant collegiate matches like the NCAA's Big Ten Conference. Recent agreements with leagues such as Poland's PlusLiga, TauronLiga, and Japan’s SV.LEAGUE have further expanded VBTV's global reach, centralising premier volleyball content under one platform. These strategic partnerships are part of Volleyball World's efforts to enhance fan engagement, providing a comprehensive viewing experience for enthusiasts while solidifying VBTV's status as the leading hub for high-quality volleyball coverage.
On 10 December 2024 it was announced that the VNL would expand from 16 competing nations to 18 and that the number of events would grow from 2 pools of 8 teams a week to 3 pools of 6 teams a week.
