With their historic success at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship, Turkiye also achieved substantial gains in the women’s FIVB Volleyball World Ranking. In comparison to the start of the tournament, their ranking score improved by the most points among all World Championship participants and they climbed three spots up to number three in the chart. Slovenia, on the other hand, made the highest leap of five positions up the chart.

World Championship rookies Slovenia achieved their first ever World Championship win and it helped them advance beyond the pool stage of the competition. Despite the 1-3 win-loss record at the tournament, they netted 10.57 points towards their World Ranking score and jumped five spots up from number 25 to number 20.
Silver medalists Turkiye and World Championship hosts Thailand made the next highest leaps of three positions each. The Turks dropped only two sets in the five matches on the way to the final, while their only loss of the tournament, in the title showdown against the world’s number one team Italy, cost them only 0.01 points, so they pocketed a total of 30.49 points, the highest among all World Championship participants, rocketing from number six to number three on a score of 368.09, about 60 short of second-ranked Brazil and 118 short of leaders Italy.
With two wins and two losses in Bangkok, Thailand net-gained 11.24 points, coming mostly from their crucial victory over Sweden, and rose from number 21 to number 18.
Jumping two spots each, France moved up to number 13, Kenya climbed to number 21, Greece surged to number 29, and Spain ascended to number 30.
Germany, Mexico and Cuba improved their ranking by one position each and took 10th, 23rd and 27th place, respectively.
Ranking leaders Italy, second-ranked Brazil, Japan (number 5), USA (7), the Netherlands (8), Serbia (9), Canada (12), Belgium (14), Ukraine (16), Argentina (17) and Sweden (26) kept their positions from before the World Championship.
Vietnam were the team that suffered the deepest dive. They won only a set in three matches played and that cost them as many as six positions in the chart. From number 22 before the event in Thailand, they fell to number 28. With three defeats on their World Championship record, Bulgaria dropped five spots down from number 20 to number 25. Rookies Slovakia fell four spots down from number 29 to number 33, while Colombia descended three positions from number 22 to number 19. China, Czechia and Egypt each moved two spots down to number six, number 15 and number 56, respectively, while the teams that fell by one spot were Poland to number four, Dominican Republic to number 11 and Puerto Rico to number 19.
Turkiye and France stood out as the best World Championship performers in terms of World Ranking points gained. Turkiye’s score improved by 30.49 points, while France net-gained 30.19. Belgium came third with 16.03, followed by Thailand with 11.24, Germany with 11.18, Slovenia with 10.57, Spain with 10.54, Italy with 9,89, Greece with 7.94, the Netherlands with 7.83, Kenya with 6.34, Dominican Republic with 6.33, USA with 2.26, Mexico with 2.01, and Brazil with 1.20.
The other 17 World Championship participants ended up with net point losses. In terms of points lost during the event, Puerto Rico stood out in this negative ranking with a net drop of 22.86, followed by Vietnam with 19.04, Bulgaria with 18.78, Slovakia with 16.20, Colombia with 15.03, Czechia with 11.64, China with 11.58, Cameroon with 8.97, Sweden with 7.97, Egypt with 7.72, Canada with 7.64, Argentina with 6.63, Poland with 5.32, Japan with 2.01, Ukraine with 1.90, Serbia with 0.53, and Cuba with 0.21.
