To Be The Champion – catchy theme song spreads World Championship fever in Thailand

The 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship has its theme song. To Be The Champion was released by the Thailand Volleyball Association during a press conference in Bangkok on Wednesday and the video version published on Facebook by the organizers has already been viewed tens of thousands of times less than 24 hours since its release.

The catchy theme is performed by popular Thai singer and songwriter Joey Phuwasit, while members of the host nation’s women’s national team show a specially choreographed dance move in the video. The clip pays tribute to Thailand’s culture and hospitality, but also to the passionate Thai volleyball fans and their ultimate respect for all participating teams, with many of the world’s volleyball stars, like Brazil’s Gabi Guimaraes, also appearing in the video.

The four hosts cities - Bangkok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chiang Mai and Phuket – which will welcome the World Championship from August 22 to September 7, are also presented in the video.
