France certainly left the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship in Thailand with grace, and this also shows in the individual statistical rankings after the end of the quarterfinal round. Four of the seven charts are headed by French players, and in three of the cases, it is their charismatic captain Helena Cazaute. She is the best scorer, the best attacker and the best receiver of the World Championship so far. Her teammate Iman Ndiaye shares the top of the best servers ranking with Poland’s Martyna Czyrnianska. The Netherlands, who also left a memorable mark despite exiting the tournament in the quarterfinals, have two players among the statistical leaders – best setter Sarah van Aalen and best digger Florien Reesink. Meanwhile, the best blockers ranking is jointly headed by two Brazilians – Julia Kudiess and Diana Alecrim.

Helena Cazaute leads the best scorers individual ranking by a margin of 10 points. She put away a total of 109 points over the five matches played and her tally included five aces and eight kill blocks. She contributed 20 or more points in each of France’s games at the World Championship and her best individual match tally of 25 points was achieved in their pool fixture with Greece. Cazaute’s Japanese counterpart – outside hitter and captain Mayu Ishikawa – comes second among the best scorers so far. She piled up 99 points and, with two more games to play in Thailand, Ishikawa is currently closest to finishing as the best scorer at the end of the tournament. Italy’s star opposite Paola Egonu, however, is not far behind, and with 96 points to her name, she is also one of the main candidates for the first place. Of course, Egonu’s Turkish counterpart Melissa Vargas is another high-scoring contender to watch. She is currently sixth in the ranking with 91 points, four short of fourth-placed Isabelle Haak of Sweden and Iman Ndiaye of France.
With 96 spike kills on record, Cazaute is also the leader of the best attackers chart, followed by Ishikawa with 88, Haak with 85 and Vargas with 80.
The French outside also headlines the best receivers ranking. She registered as many as 64 successful receptions. And it is Ishikawa again, who comes second in this chart. The Japanese standout has piled up 56 successful receptions so far. Two Brazilian outside hitters come next down this ranking – Gabriela Guimaraes (Gabi) with 48 and Julia Bergmann with 46.
Mayu Ishikawa is not as close to the top of the best servers ranking, but even here, with six aces served, she is the highest ranked among those still alive in the tournament. France’s opposite Iman Ndiaye and Poland’s 21-year-old outside hitter Martyna Czyrnianska lead the way with 10 aces each. Serbia’s 21-year-old outside Aleksandra Uzelac is next with eight serving points to her name.
Another two Brazilian players – middle blockers Diana Alecrim and 22-year-old Julia Kudiess – are sharing the first place in the best blockers ranking with 18 stuffs apiece. Middle Eline Timmerman of the Netherlands, with 16 kill blocks, completes the top three.
Dutch playmaker Sarah van Aalen is by far the best setter of the World Championship so far. She accumulated 229 successful sets over the five matches played. Japan’s Nanami Seki is in the runner-up position, with 182, while Thailand’s Pornpun Guedpard comes third with 150.
Another member of the Netherlands squad – libero Florien Reesink – leads the way in the best diggers chart. She accounted for 69 digs, five more than the second best defender, French libero Juliette Gelin. Yet another libero, Poland’s Aleksandra Szczyglowska, takes third place in the table with 63 digs. And once again, Mayu Ishikawa is the player with the best chances to surpass them on the way to the top of this ranking as the highest placed among all semifinalists. She is fifth with 59 digs. Italian libero Monica De Gennaro is also a main candidate as she is not far behind – sixth with 56 digs.
