Cameroon’s Simone Bikatal in action at the 2022 World Championship

The recently appointed new head coach of the Cameroonian women’s national volleyball team, Brazil’s Paulo Milagres, released an extended provisional roster of 23 players to start preparations for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship taking place in Thailand from August 22 to September 7, 2025.

Cameroon women’s national team full roster (subject to eligibility check to be conducted by the FIVB):

  • Setters: Emmanuela Grace Bikatal, Henriette Nadege Koulla, Ivan Nancy Agnoung A Mbira, Mbila Ekando, Yolande Juliana Amana Guigolo
  • Opposites: Andrea Mimosette Lady Moussol, Carine Blamdai, Estelle Odile Leopoldine Adiana
  • Outside hitters: Berthrade Simone Flore Bikatal, Christiane Brandy Gatcheu Djeutchoko, Claire Zobo, Gracile Fosso Nguemtcheng Danna, Joan Ahelya Tchombe Souohe, Michelle Wete Sissako
  • Middle blockers: Cecile Laure Nabyong, Emelda Piata Zessi, Larissa Wakap Djopkop, Marie Belle Petrova Zambo Ayomba, Paule Arielle Olomo, Sourea Baran A Koung

Cameroon are currently number 43 in the women’s FIVB World Ranking. They qualified for the upcoming World Championship as the bronze medalists of the 2023 CAVB African Championship, and nine of the 14 players, who earned that podium, are back on the roster. In Thailand, Cameroon will compete in Pool H in Bangkok against the teams of Japan, Serbia and Ukraine.
