Just hours before the drawing of lots for the women’s volleyball tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the wide team rosters were released. The list of names, from which the head coaches will make their final selections of 13 players for Paris, promises a solid stellar presence and plenty of electrifying action on the volleyball court at the South Paris Arena in the French capital from July 27 to August 11.

The roster of defending Olympic champions USA, for example, features not only Tokyo 2020 Olympic MVP Jordan Larson, but also Tokyo Dream Teamers Jordyn Poulter, Haleigh Washington and Justine Wong-Orantes.
Tokyo silver medallists Brazil will, of course, be led by star outside hitter and captain Gabriela Guimaraes (Gabi), while bronze medallists Serbia will rely on their brightest talent Tijana Boskovic.
The stellar line-up also features the likes of China’s Zhu Ting, Dominican Republic’s Brenda Castillo, France’s Helena Cazaute, Italy’s Paola Egonu, Japan’s Sarina Koga, Poland’s Joanna Wolosz or Türkiye’s Melissa Vargas, and goes on and on...
The drawing of lots, which will determine the three pools for the first stage of the Olympic tournament, will be held in Bangkok, Thailand today, Wednesday, June 19, at 18:00 local time (11:00 UTC), and will be streamed live on the Volleyball World YouTube channel:
