A gripping day of matches in the Olympic Games men’s volleyball competition today, with all teams battling it out to secure a coveted spot in the semi-finals.

Catching the action was none other than sporting legend, widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Serena Williams. The former world number one and multi-Grand Slam-winning star was seen cheering for the USA alongside her daughter as they faced Brazil in the quarter-finals.

Also present to see the USA take on Brazil was another sporting icon, this time an NFL legend – Tom Brady. Brady came back for more volleyball action after having visited the iconic Eiffel Tower Stadium last night to see the beach volleyball as the sun went down over Paris.

In the morning, the world number 1 and five-time major winner cheered Poland into the semi-finals of the men’s volleyball tournament at the South Paris Arena as they beat Slovenia 3-1.

She then headed to the iconic Eiffel Tower Stadium in the evening to take in beach volleyball against the backdrop of a glorious Parisian sunset. FIFA President Gianni Infantino was also among the honoured guests during the evening, savouring the sport and the atmosphere in front of the Eiffel Tower.

He shared selfies with fellow supporters in attendance, and was greeted by South American Volleyball Confederation President Marco Tullio Teixeira.

Showing his support for hosts France as they took on Germany was the Prime Minister of France, Gabriel Attal. Seen embracing the volleyball spirit, Attal cheered on as France clinched the win in a nail biting five-set match.

Present for the morning match and supporting the competition in his home nation was President of the French National Assembly, Thomas Cazenave as he saw Poland claim victory over Slovenia in what was a gripping match.
