It was another day of full crowds including distinguished guests on day five of volleyball at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Poland’s Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Piotr Borys joined excited fans as his country opened the day with a thrilling 3-2 victory against Brazil in the men’s competition.

Koji Murofushi is a former Olympic hammer throw champion and two-time medallist, who now serves as the Japan Sports Agency Commissioner. He was in attendance to watch his country secure a win against Argentina later in the day in the men’s tournament.

The USA’ thrilling 3-2 victory against Serbia in the women’s tournament was enjoyed by a host of sports leaders. Serbian Sports Minister Zoran Gajić was among them, along with IOC Executive Board member and United World Wrestling President Nenad Lalović and IOC Member Luis Mejía Oviedo.
