Volleyball World, CBS Sports and the Big Ten Network today announce a ground-breaking partnership marking the first time elite international volleyball will appear on national television The deal will bring comprehensive coverage of the 2025 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and FIVB World Championships, including every match played by the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, alongside additional coverage of top international matchups.

This agreement underscores the growing momentum behind the sport in the U.S., as it continues to gain popularity among fans of all ages. It also represents the latest in Volleyball World’s mission to modernize and globalize the sport, expanding volleyball’s reach through innovative partnerships and premium media experiences.

Fans across the U.S. will now have coordinated, extensive access to Team USA and other top-ranked teams, across both tournaments. The combined reach of CBS Sports and Big Ten Network will ensure consistent, high-quality viewing experience, both live and on-demand. The partnership reflects Volleyball World’s central role as the commercial engine behind the sport, connecting federations, athletes, media partners, and fans under one global vision.

The 2025 VNL will feature U.S.-hosted pools for both genders:

  • Men’s Pool – Chicago, IL (NOW Arena, June 25–29): Featuring international powerhouses including the U.S., Poland, Brazil, Italy, Canada, and China.

The timing of the agreement reflects a surge in U.S. interest in the sport. Volleyball is now the most-played team sport among U.S. high school girls, with growth accelerating from grassroots levels to global competition.
