The VNL (Volleyball Nations League) has released the second episode of ROTATIONS presented by Decathlon, featuring French volleyball star Earvin Ngapeth, one of the sport's most decorated and charismatic players, alongside special guest S.PRi NOiR, one of France's most influential rap artists. Set against the backdrop of Paris, the episode explores how Earvin and S.PRi NOiR - two individuals from different worlds - have forged successful careers through ambition, discipline and an unwavering connection to their roots.
Filmed aboard a boat travelling along the River Seine, Bruno joins Earvin to discuss the defining moments that have shaped his life both on and off the court. Earvin reflects on how becoming a father of three has changed his outlook and fuelled his ambition to succeed on the court, whilst looking back on moving to Italy for the first time, leaving behind his father and family. Earvin explains how embracing that challenge allowed him to become a new and improved version of himself; starting a new era in his professional career.
The conversation revisits Earvin's journey with the French national team, including the disappointment of the 2014 World Championship semi-final defeat that became a turning point for his generation, before reflecting on winning the 2016 title, which he describes as one of the greatest achievements of his career. He also discusses the role music has played throughout his life, revealing that he has been making music since the age of 13, which allows him to step away from the pressure of elite sport.
