Launch of Official VNL Games with Volleyball World Games : Fantasy and MVP voting!

International volleyball is enhancing the fans’ digital experience! Volleyball World launching Volleyball World Games, an interactive ecosystem designed to transform sports fans from mere spectators to active participants in the competition.

The goal is clear: to create an ongoing relationship between fans, maintaining high levels of public engagement even beyond match days, players and tournaments through fantasy games, MVP voting and integrated social dynamics.

Transforming fans into participants

The Volleyball World Games digital product aims to solve one of the main challenges of today’s sports events – to sustain that high level of engagement during matches over the days that follow.

To bridge this gap, Volleyball World has created a platform capable of keeping fans engaged throughout the week, with attractive digital activities for both dedicated fans and casual spectators.

Official VNL game : Fantasy

The official Volleyball Nations League game, Fantasy, is a key component of the project. Fans can create their own teams each week based on a limited number of credits, and earn points based on the real-world performance of their selected players. Simplified navigation allows users to assemble their teams in less than two minutes.

The game is available for free in the VBTV app. You just need to download the app, sign up and play!
The fans compete in the platform's global ranking and can build their own private leagues to compete with friends.

MVP voting

On Mondays and Tuesdays, non-competition days during the VNL, fans using the app can vote for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the previous week. Suggested athletes are determined based on the score each player got in the Fantasy game for that week.

Fans will also have their say in determining the MVP of the Finals. They will be able to start voting after the semifinals until one of the teams wins two sets during the gold medal match. An FIVB expert panel will then take the fan vote into consideration when determining the MVP among the players of the new champion team. The nominee will receive a USD 30,000 award.

New fan engagement model

With the Volleyball World Games, volleyball seeks to align itself with engagement models already established in other global sports, focusing on gamification, continuous interaction and direct fan participation.

The ambition is to transform match viewing into an immersive and enduring experience, lasting well beyond the final whistle.

The roadmap also includes extending the Volleyball World Games to other international competitions and leagues, such as AVC’s Asian continental tournaments and the Italian league. -> This is fine , just mention it is the Men's League (Superlega)
