Ladies’ turn to play in Quebec City
Following the great success of last year’s men’s tournament, Quebec City will host а women’s event in 2026.
Fans can purchase five-day package tickets starting this week. Ticket packages will go on sale at gestev.com and ticketmaster.ca on Friday, December 12, at 10:00 local time (15:00 UTC). Day passes will become available at a later date, closer to the event.
“After hosting the men’s teams last year and achieving remarkable success, we are very proud to confirm the return of the VNL to the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, this time with the world’s women’s volleyball elite,” said Martin Tremblay, president of Gestev. “We are sending a clear message: we have the modern infrastructure that makes Quebec City a city of choice in North America for hosting the biggest volleyball events.”

“Working on this project for all these years has been an exciting journey and seeing the VNL return to Quebec City with the best women’s teams in the world is a fantastic achievement for the entire organization,” said Gilles Lepine, president of the local organizing committee. “The success of the previous edition was a true team effort, just like in volleyball, and it is thanks to the passion of the public, the expertise of our teams, and the quality of the Centre Videotron that we can afford to go even further.”
“There is nothing like playing at home in front of a home crowd. The energy around our women’s team was very much felt in Ottawa in the opening week of VNL 2025 and we can’t wait to experience the support in Quebec in June 2026,” said Volleyball Canada’s women’s high-performance director Shannon Winzer. “Having a strong performance in VNL 2026 is just the foundation we need as we build towards our first Olympic qualification opportunity at the end of the summer.”
Canada are currently the number 12 team in the women’s FIVB Volleyball World Ranking.
Men’s VNL action to return to Ottawa
After hosting a women’s competition week one event last year, Ottawa will welcome a men’s tournament in 2026 as it has in previous years. Aside from 2025, the Canadian men’s national team has played in Ottawa since VNL’s inception in 2018.

“The opportunity to compete at home brings tremendous support, especially playing in Ottawa, which is the country's capital and very close to our training home base. When you put your hand on your heart, and you can feel what the people in the stands are feeling, it's just incredible,” said Dan Lewis, head coach of the Canadian men’s national team. “The other major bonus of playing in Canada is that travel is a big part of high-performance sport and can be very difficult on teams. The fact that we can plan, prepare and execute a third of the preliminary phase of the tournament at home is huge. We had an amazing experience last year in Quebec and we are looking forward to kicking off VNL 2026 in Ottawa in June!”
Canada are currently the number 10 team in the men’s FIVB Volleyball World Ranking.
