Heynen

Vital Heynen has selected his players for the National Team of Poland in 2021.

The men’s national team of Poland will start their preparations for the first major competition of the 2021 season, the FIVB Volleyball Nations League, in the second half of April. Their Belgian head coach Vital Heynen has called up a list of 24 athletes for a first training camp at the Olympic Preparation Centre in Spala.

The list includes Poland star Bartosz Kurek, MVP of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball World Championship, who missed most of the national team tournaments during the last competition season in 2019. In fact, the only name from the World Championship gold medal roster absent from the list is that of Damian Schulz.

Bartosz Bednorz, the best scorer and a Dream Teamer of the 2019 VNL Finals, is also back, after not appearing in Poland’s last three official appearances, all in 2019, at the Tokyo Volleyball Qualifications, EuroVolley and the FIVB Volleyball World Cup.
