Micah Christenson led the United States to a Top 3 finish and completed the first edition of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League as the fourth best setter.

He returned in 2019 with a magical performance in Chicago to help his team go one notch higher in the podium and bagged the Best Setter award with a setting average of 6.31 per set. He was a key starter in the USA side as he helped out in scoring and defence as he tallied 11 attacks, 21 blocks and 11 service aces.

He made his national team debut in 2013 and only started his professional career two years later. He has played for two Italian clubs since 2015 until the end of the current season. He suited up for Volley Lube from 2015 to 2018 and won an FIVB Men's Club World Championship silver with them in 2017, and then spent the next three seasons with Modena Volley. He will see action in Russia next season with Zenit Kazan.
