Volleyball World has invited potential host cities to express their interest in staging the women’s and men’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2023 and 2024, including the Finals, to maximise the time to organise, promote and elevate the VNL to fans worldwide.

The event format for the 2023 and 2024 editions will remain the same as for the VNL 2022 where 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams compete in pools of eight teams during the pool phase. Each team will play 12 matches in their pools across three weeks of competition, consisting of four matches between the Tuesday and Sunday of each week with each gender playing on alternate weeks.

The VNL Finals will see the eight strongest teams per gender proceed to the knockout phase which will consist of eight matches: the quarterfinals, semi-finals and bronze and gold medal matches. Host team will be granted a place if not qualified.
