Be ready! There’s a lot to look forward to when the FIVB Volleyball Nations League returns from May 31 to July 24.

There’s a fresh new look to the competition in 2022 and a packed schedule of matches featuring the reigning Olympic champions, world champions and the top teams in the world rankings, ready to serve up a feast of volleyball to fans around the globe.

And with men’s and women’s matches to be played on alternate weeks, and eight teams competing per pool, there will be more opportunities than ever before for you to see the leading international athletes in action.

Talking of the teams and players you love, the 2022 VNL will feature last year’s bronze medallists Turkey against Italy in Ankara on the first day of competition. Later the same day, Germany are up against Brazil and VNL champs USA welcome the Dominican Republic to Shreveport-Bossier City in Louisiana. And from then on, it’s non-stop volleyball for six weeks before the best eight teams per gender qualify for the Finals.

It's time to think about which matches you will be at. And if you are not able to attend in person, remember that the 2022 VNL will also be broadcast live on Volleyball TV and local television stations.

Stay tuned to Volleyball World’s channels in the coming weeks as we review each of the pools in this year’s VNL and look forward to a competition overflowing with amazing volleyball.
