Young Karakurt takes on bigger role for Turkey

Ebrar Karakurt excelled in the second year of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League, after her veteran teammates took charge in the inaugural edition to win a silver medal.

As a rookie, she contributed 63 points off 55 spikes, five blocks and three aces in the 2018 edition, then by her sophomore year she was already the second best scorer of the preliminary round with 291 points and led Turkey to advance to their second VNL Finals. She added 74 markers to conclude her 2019 campaign in fourth place and earn the Best Opposite award.
