Aleksander Sliwka ready to lead Poland in the 2021 VNL.

Poland's men have been a fixture in the finals of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League since the inaugural event of 2018. And although they didn't make it to the semifinals that first year in Lille, they do have a bronze medal to show for their efforts in 2019 after beating Brazil for third place a year later in Chicago.

Look out for Alexander Sliwka, who was recently named MVP at the European Champions League final with Grupa Azoty Kedzierzyn Kozle before heading off to join the national team for the VNL.

The women's team of Poland ranked 9th in the inaugural edition of the VNL in 2018 and made it through to the Final Six (though not to the semifinals) in 2019.

Malwina Smarzek had been smashing record after record in scoring over the course of the first two seasons of the VNL - top scorer overall in 2018 (361 points) and 2019 (421 points) plus a VNL all-time of 42 points in a single game. Can the 24-year-old match these performances in 2021?
