Britt Herbots made her fourth personal entry in the list of players to have scored 30 points or more in a single FIVB Volleyball Nations League game as she bagged 34 and led Belgium to a thrilling five-set win over Italy to close Day 14 of the 2021 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League which continues at Italy's Adriatic resort of Rimini.

Herbots, 21, collected her points from 33 kills (33/67 for 49%) and added one block for her final tally.

Earlier at the 2021 VNL Herbots had fired off 33 points against the Dominican Republic, 32 against Korea and again 33 against Thailand

China's Zhang Changning still holds the best VNL scoring performance of this season, with 37 points against Belgium. She also scored 36 points against Brazil this year.

Other players to have broken the 30-point mark at the VNL this year are Poland's Magdalena Stysiak with 35 against Japan, Russia's Nataliya Goncharova with 31 against the Dominican Republic and the Dominican Republic's Brayelin Martinez with 31 against Japan.

Only Poland's Malwina Smarzek has more entries in the all-time VNL list, with a record of 10. Herbots is now on par with Italy's Paola Egonu, also on four.

Smarzek holds the all-time VNL scoring record with 42 points in four sets against Bulgaria in 2019.
