The 2025-2026 Tauron Liga is set to enter the second half of its regular season over the next few days, when four duels of the first leg of the second round will be held in the country.

While two encounters will be held on later dates, there will be a lot to follow between Sunday and Tuesday as eight of the 12 participating teams turn the corner and enter the second part of their campaigns.

Reigning Tauron Liga champions and current league leaders KS DevelopRes Rzeszów will be the first to get the second round going, meeting fifth-placed BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała at home on Sunday, at 14:45 local time (15:45 UTC).

Undefeated in their last eight matches and coming from a road win in the Derby against ŁKS Commercecon Łódź on Tuesday, DevelopRes are clear at the top of the standings with 31 points (ten wins, one loss) and continue to be the team to beat in the Polish League.

Their opponents Bielsko-Biała were also on the rise in the Tauron Liga, having won four straight matches and climbed from eighth to third place in the standings before going down to PGE Budowlani Łódź on Tuesday and dropping to fifth, with 20 points (seven wins, four losses)

The match against the defending champions represents an opportunity for them to regain one spot in the standings, as they are set to pass fourth-placed Commercecon, who have 21 points and don't play this weekend, if they manage to take a win in Rzeszów.

Beating DevelopRes, however, hasn't been very usual to Bielsko-Biała, as the team from Rzeszów holds 23 victories in 29 encounters and came out on top in the most recent seven matches, including the 2025-2026 season opener, back in October, when they triumphed 3-1 on the road.

Budowlani vie for second place

Third-placed Budowlani will also be looking to move up in the Tauron Liga standings this weekend - they face ninth-placed ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec on the road on Sunday, at 17:30 (18:30 UTC).

The team from Łódž has the same 21 points (nine wins, two losses) as second-placed UNI Opole, but rank lower because of their lower set ratio, and will pass their opponents, who had their match postponed, if they score any points in their match.

Tauron Liga - Match Schedule & Results

The third and last match scheduled for Sunday in the Polish League will have eighth-placed MOYA Radomka Radom facing sixth-placed Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz at 20:00 (21:00 UTC). On Tuesday, 12th-placed EcoHarpoon NOWEL LOS Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki host 11th-placed #VolleyWrocław at 19:00 (20:00 UTC).
