Sitting outside the qualification zone for the 2025-2026 Tauron Liga playoffs as the regular season enters its final stretch, Sokół & Hagric Mogilno will have a unique opportunity to make a push for the postseason in the next few days.

The team is set to play twice between Thursday and Monday in the Polish League, and, with one of the matches being against a direct opponent, the next five days could have a big weight in the team's fate in the tournament.

Competing in the Tauron Liga for just the second time in history, Sokół are currently in tenth place, with 14 points (four wins, 12 losses). With six matches yet to be played, they need to make at least four points on MOYA Radomka Radom, who have 17 (six wins, nine losses) and are the first team above the line, appearing in eighth place.

Radomka Radom are one of Sokół's opponents this week, as the teams are set to face off on Monday, at 20:00 local time (19:00 UTC), during the sixth leg of the second round of the regular season.

Before that, on Thursday, at 17:30 (16:30 UTC), Sokół will count on the support of their home fans in what should be one of the most challenging matches of their season, facing league leaders and defending champions KS DevelopRes Rzeszów in an anticipated match from the eighth leg of the second round of the regular season.

With the ability to earn up to six points in five days, Sokół could return to the qualification zone for the playoffs for the first time since the Tauron Liga season-opening week, back in October, when they were eighth. Since then, the team, which enters Thursday's match coming from back-to-back losses, has fluctuated between ninth and 11th place in the standings.

Opposite Wiktoria Kowalska, the team's leading scorer in the season with 256 points, and Greek outside hitter María Tsitsigiánni, who comes next with 209, are the main offensive weapons in the team led by young Spanish setter Ariadna Priante.

Sixth leg begins on Saturday

With the match between Sokół and DevelopRes counting for the eighth leg, the sixth leg of the second round officially gets going on Saturday, when 11th-placed #VolleyWrocław meet sixth-placed LOTTO Chemik Police at 12:30 (11:30 UTC).

Sunday's schedule will feature two duels, with third-placed UNI Opole and fourth-placed BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała playing at 17:30 (16:30 UTC) and seventh-placed Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz facing second-placed PGE Budowlani Łódź at 20:00 (19:00 UTC).

On Monday, fifth-placed ŁKS Commercecon Łódź and ninth-placed ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec go at each other at 17:30 (16:30 UTC).
