Commercecon win two tie-breakers in three days in the Tauron Liga

ŁKS Commercecon Łódź's stamina was put to the test in the 2025-2026 Tauron Liga this week, and the Polish giants survived the challenge of playing ten sets in three days to claim back-to-back five-set victories and move up in the standings.

Commercecon defeated LOTTO Chemik Police in five sets on Monday and then returned to action on Wednesday, when they were pushed to the tie-breaker again, this time by Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz, and left the court with another positive result.

With the four points earned over the last 72 hours, the three-time national champions managed to move one spot up in the standings, going from fifth to fourth, with 18 points (six wins, three losses). They now only trail league leaders KS DevelopRes Rzeszów (25), second-placed UNI Opole (21) and third-placed PGE Budowlani Łódź (21).

Commercecon played Chemik on Monday as part of the ninth leg of the regular season and benefited from the homecourt advantage to triumph 3-2 (25-19, 30-28, 19-25, 22-25, 15-8). Middle blocker Anna Obiała had a spectacular showing for them, led the team with 23 points (14 kills, eight blocks, one ace) and took home the MVP award.

Two days later, they went on the road to face Pałac in a postponed match of the second leg of the regular season and again came out on top, winning 3-2 (25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-13). This time, outside hitter Daria Szczyrba was their most productive player, with 26 points (22 kills, two blocks, two aces), also being rewarded with the MVP award.

Commercecon's marathon continues on Friday, when they again go on the road, this time against #VolleyWrocław, in the tenth leg of the regular season.

The top three keep winning

All three teams that rank higher than Commercecon also won during the ninth leg, collecting all three points. Defending champions DevelopRes visited Pałac on Monday and won 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-19). On the same day, Budowlani overcame MOYA Radomka Radom 3-1 (25-19, 24-26, 25-16, 27-25) on the road. UNI Opole played at home on Tuesday and swept (25-22, 25-18, 25-20) #VolleyWrocław.

The ninth leg also had Sokół & Hagric Mogilno beating ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec 3-2 (15-25, 15-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-13) at home on Friday and BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała sweeping (25-13, 25-16, 25-15) EcoHarpoon NOWEL LOS Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki on the road on Sunday.
