Eleven-time Polish champions LOTTO Chemik Police caused the biggest movement in the 2025-2026 Tauron Liga standings during the tenth leg of the regular season, which was completed on Monday, by defeating a direct opponent and moving three spots up.

One of the most traditional and successful teams in the country, Chemik played on Friday, hosting MOYA Radomka Radom, and triumphed 3-1 (29-27, 21-25, 25-20, 25-17), earning three points that massively improved their situation in the standings.

Chemik started the weekend in tenth place, but the three points collected at home improved their total to 12 (four wins, six losses), making them pass all of Sokół & Hagric Mogilno (10), ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec (11) and Radomka Radom (11) and now appear in seventh place, inside the qualification zone for the playoffs right before the end of the first round of the regular season.

The team, which had dropped six of its last seven matches before Friday's duel, counted on an outstanding performance from 25-year-old opposite Weronika Gierszewska, who produced a match-high 28 points (22 kills, six blocks) and earned the match's MVP award, to dominate Radomka Radom.

She scored almost as many points as the team's two outside hitters combined, as Julia Orzoł produced 16 (all in kills), while Paris Olympian Natalia Mędrzyk added 14, with 11 kills and three blocks.

Chemik also counted on their impressive blocking to build their victory, as they outscored their opponents in that area of the game by 23 points to eight. Middle blocker Adrianna Rybak-Czyrniańska registered nine of those to go with two kills and an ace in her 12-point performance.

Radomka Radom, who are now eighth and fired head coach Jakub Głuszak after their fifth-straight defeat, had Swiss Julie Lengweiler as their leading scorer with 16 points (15 kills, one block), followed by fellow outside hitter Weronika Szlagowska and middle blocker Kornelia Garita with 11 each.

DevelopRes guaranteed to end the first round at the top

The tenth leg of the regular season also confirmed that defending champions KS DevelopRes Rzeszów will end the first round of the regular season at the top of the Tauron Liga standings. They got to 28 points (nine wins, one loss) on Sunday, with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-21) victory over Mielec, and can no longer be caught by any of their challengers in the 11th and last leg, which will be held next weekend.
