One of the most traditional clubs in Polish volleyball, LOTTO Chemik Police are among the teams that got to two victories in the 2025-2026 Tauron Liga standings this weekend, during the second leg of the first round of the regular season.

Besides the 11-time Tauron Liga winners, defending champions KS DevelopRes Rzeszów and MOYA Radomka Radom also kept their records clean after two matches - ŁKS Commercecon Łódź are also undefeated, but didn't play this weekend and have only one victory so far.

After starting their campaign with a five-set home win over Sokół & Hagric Mogilno last weekend, Chemik showed improvement in their first road match of the season, beating rookies EcoHarpoon NOWEL LOS Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki 3-1 (30-28, 25-21, 17-25, 25-23) on Saturday.

Opposite Weronika Gierszewska was Chemik's top scorer in the second victory of the season, producing 26 points (24 kills, two aces). Polish national team outside hitter Natalia Mędrzyk contributed 19 (16 kills, two blocks, one ace), while outside hitter Barbara Zakościelna and opposite Malwina Stachowiak registered 17 points each for Nowy Dwór.

Radomka Radom have the best campaign in the Polish League after the first two matches, having gotten a pair of sweeps. On Thursday, they took #VolleyWrocław down 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-20), with Swiss outside hitter Julie Lengweile scoring ten points for them.

Defending champions DevelopRes have the same six points in the standings after they swept (25-16, 26-24, 25-18) UNI Opole on Sunday. American opposite Taylor Bannister was their leading scorer with 17 points (16 kills, one ace).

Also on Sunday, PGE Budowlani Łódź recovered from an opening-day upset and earned their first victory of the season. The team from Łódź went on the road and overcame Sokół & Hagric 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16) with Polish national team outside hitter Paulina Damaske scoring 20 points (18 kills, two blocks).

Held on Saturday, the fifth and last match of the weekend had BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała downing ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec 3-1 (22-25, 29-27, 25-23, 25-19) on the road to celebrate their first victory in 2025-2026. Estonian opposite Kertu Laak was their top scorer with 17 points, two more than outside hitter Martyna Borowczak.

The third leg of the regular season in Poland will have six matches going on between Thursday and Monday.
