The five-set defeat earned DevelopRes only one point and took them up to seven, one behind Radomka Radom, who won all three matches. BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała and Budowlani are third and fourth, with six points each.

A new signing for the season, Swiss opposite Maja Storck played a key role in Budowlani’s victory, producing a match-high 18 points, all in kills. Outside hitter Karolina Drużkowska, who came off the bench and ended the match with 14 (11 kills, two aces, one block), earned the MVP award.

“Losing the first match of the season made us very sad, but today we erased that,” setter Alicja Grabka said. “I’m happy that we managed to win today despite not having started the season in the way we wanted. We weren’t the favorites, so we just had to come out with a cool mind and play bravely, which I thought we did. Everyone contributed today, and I’m proud of the entire team.”

DevelopRes had opposite Oliwia Sieradzka as their leading scorer with 15 points (14 kills, one block), followed by middle blocker Dominika Pierzchała, who produced 13, with ten kills and three blocks.

Radomka Radom beat Commercecon on the road

Radomka Radom's push to the top of the Tauron Liga standings was possible due to their 3-2 (25-17, 20-25, 25-23, 16-25, 15-12) road win over ŁKS Commercecon Łódź on Monday. Swiss outside hitter Julie Lengweiler led the team's victory with 24 points (23 kills, one ace) and came up one point short of matching the production of Commercecon's Brazilian outside hitter Regiane Bidias, who registered 23 kills, one block and one ace.
