Victorina Himeji will try to build upon their stunning upsets of defending champions Osaka Marvelous in the opening-leg double header on the road last week with another away double header, this time at Toray Arrows Shiga, who will be looking for their first set win of the season. The games at the YMIT Arena are set to start at 15:05 local time (06:05 UTC) on both Saturday and Sunday.
Osaka Marvelous will, of course, be eager to recover from the blow as they host Aranmare Yamagata for two games at the HOS Sumiyoshi Sports Center, starting at 14:05 (05:05) on both competition days. The visitors will also be keen to score their first win of the season.
Current table co-leaders NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki, who are yet to lose a set, will play on the road this time, visiting Gunma Green Wings at the Yamato Citizen Gymnasium Maebashi at 13:05 (04:05) on Saturday and Sunday. Gunma are one of the two teams in the middle of the standings on a 1-1 win-loss record each.
The other table co-leaders, who scored two straight-set victories last week, Denso Airybees Koriyama, will also take their first road trip of the season. They will travel to unbeaten Astemo Rivale Ibaraki for a double header at the Hitachinaka City Sports Park Total Gymnastics, with the games serving off at 14:05 (05:05) on both days.
Another undefeated team, third-placed Kurobe Aqua Fairies, will visit the Ageo Sports Park for two matches against Saitama Ageo Medics, also with two wins under their belt so far. The starting time of the two games is 13:05 (04:05).
Queenseis Kariya, on a 1-1 win-loss record after the first leg, will travel to Saga Hisamitsu Springs for two fixtures at the Saga Arena serving off at 14:05 (05:05) on both days. Saga are trailing bottom of the table without a set won.
Another two teams that will be eager to celebrate a first victory of the season – PFU BlueCats Ishikawa Kahoku and Okayama Seagulls – will lock horns for two games at the Toriyasaimiso BlueCats Arena at 13:05 (04:05) on Saturday and Sunday.
