The third leg of the women’s Daido Life SV.League regular season will open with a remake of last season’s final between NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki and Osaka Marvelous, a double header set to take place on Friday and Saturday. The other five SV.League double headers this weekend will take place on Saturday and Sunday.

NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki will host Osaka Marvelous at the Tokyu Dresser Todoroki Arena on Friday at 18:35 local time (09:35 UTC) and on Saturday at 15:35 (06:35). NEC are the leaders of the current standings after the second leg of double headers on a perfect record of a 4-0 win-loss ratio and 12 points, without a set lost, while Osaka are seventh on 2-2 and 7. Last season, the two teams met six times. The squad from Kawasaki won the first encounter in five sets, but then Marvelous took the next five matches on the way to the inaugural SV.League crown.
The remaining five double headers of the weekend will have the same match starting times on Saturday and Sunday.
Undefeated Victorina Himeji, standing second on 4-0 and 11, will welcome winless Aranmare Yamagata to the Victorina Wink Gymnasium at 14:05 (05:05). Aranmare are running third from the bottom, in 12th place on 0-4 and 0.
At the same time, the third team that has won all four of its matches so far, third-placed Kurobe Aqua Fairies on 4-0 and 10, will entertain Queenseis Kariya at the Kurobe City Gymnastics Center. Kariya occupy ninth place on 2-2 and 6.
Denso Airybees Koriyama, standing fourth on 3-1 and 9, will play at home this weekend. At 13:05 (05:05), they will host Saga Hisamitsu Springs at the Fukushima Toyota Crown Arena. Saga stand in 10th place on 1-3 and 3.
Sixth-placed PFU BlueCats Ishikawa Kahoku will visit 11th-placed Gunma Green Wings at the Open House Arena Ota. The games serve off at 13:05 (04:05). PFU are on 2-2 and 7, while Gunma are on 1-3 and 3.
The weekend will also offer a clash at the bottom of the table, between the two teams trailing the standings on 0-4 and 0 each. 13th-placed Toray Arrows Shiga will travel to 14th-placed Okayama Seagulls for a double header at the Shigeto Arena Okayama. The matches start at 14:05 (05:05).
