Denso Airybees Koriyama will host Saitama Ageo Medics at the Horaiya Bonds Arena. The Games of the Week are set to serve off at 13:05 local time (04:05 UTC) on both competition days. It will be a clash between the teams placed fifth from the bottom and fifth from the top in the current standings, but if Denso win at least five of the six points in this double header, they will surpass their opponents in the table. Ageo stand on a 5-3 win-loss ratio and 15 points in fifth place, while Denso are 10th on 4-6 and 12. Last season, the two clubs met six times and traded three wins each. The two most important ones, however, came in their quarterfinal playoff, when Denso beat Ageo by 3-0 and 3-2 to advance to the semis.

The women’s SV.League weekend will open with the first game of the double header between Osaka Marvelous and Queenseis Kariya, standing sixth and seventh in the table on 6-4 each. With 21 points on their record, defending champions Osaka are above Kariya, who have 18. The two matches at the Ookini Arena Maishima are set to start at 12:05 (03:05). Queenseis and Marvelous met only twice during the inaugural SV.League season, with the squad from Osaka sweeping both games on the road to extend their perfect winning streak in the head-to-head series to six straight-set victories in a row.

Table leaders NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki will try to extend their victorious run since the start of the new season as they welcome PFU BlueCats Ishikawa Kahoku at the Culttz Kawasaki on Saturday at 14:05 (05:05) and on Sunday at 13:05 (04:05). NEC top the standings on 10-0 and 27, while PFU are in eighth place on 5-5 and 18.

Empress Cup holders Victorina Himeji, currently running second in the SV.League on 7-3 and 22, will travel to Okayama Seagulls for two games at the Sanyo Fureai Gymnasium at 14:05 (05:05) on both competition days. Okayama are running second from the bottom, in 13th place on 1-9 and 4.

At the same time on both days of the weekend, Saga Hisamitsu Springs will entertain Astemo Rivale Ibaraki at the Saga Arena. Hisamitsu Springs occupy third place on 7-3 and 19, while their visitors are 11th on 3-5 and 10.

Another team on a 7-3 win-loss ratio, Kurobe Aqua Fairies, placed fourth on 17 points, will visit Toray Arrows Shiga at the YMIT Arena for the two competition days’ closing matches, serving off at 15:05 (06:05). The home team is second from the bottom, in 12th place on 2-8 and 5.

Bottom-placed Aranmare Yamagata are set to host Gunma Green Wings at the Yamagata Prefectural Sports Park Arena at 14:05 (05:05) on Saturday and at 13:05 (04:05) on Sunday. Aranmare stand in 14th place on 1-9 and 3, while Gunma are in ninth place on 4-6 and 13.
