One of the hottest teams in the 2025-2026 Brazilian Women's Superliga right now, Fluminense took advantage of their great form to secure their third-straight victory in the tournament during the fifth leg of the regular season.

The Rio de Janeiro side played at home on Thursday and had more difficulties than anticipated, but got the job done against Renasce Sorocaba, winning 3-2 (25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 20-25, 15-6) to keep their winning streak alive and collect two more points.

Coming from big wins against Dentil Praia Clube and SESI Vôlei Bauru, Fluminense are ranked fourth in the Superliga with ten points (four wins, one loss). They trail the undefeated Osasco São Cristovão Saúde (14), Gerdau Minas (14) and SESC RJ Flamengo (12).

The second-best scorer in the Superliga, opposite Ariane Pinto led Fluminense against Sorocaba with 19 points (12 kills, six blocks, one ace), while outside hitter Amanda Campos added another 16, with 15 kills and one block. Brazilian national team libero Marcelle Arruda earned the match's MVP award after registering 19 passes and 18 digs.

"It's great to have won our third straight match," setter Amanda Sehn reflected. "We knew it was going to be difficult against them, but our entire team helped, the players who came off the bench contributed a lot, and it took us a lot of teamwork to get the win."

Sorocaba's Camilly Salomé was the match's top scorer with 20 points (16 kills, three blocks, one ace), while fellow outside hitter Isabela Paquiardi tallied 17, all in kills.

Osasco, Minas and Flamengo keep rolling

The three undefeated teams in the Superliga, Osasco, Minas and Flamengo continued in great form too, earning solid victories in the fifth leg. League leaders Osasco were the only ones among the three to play on the road, but still triumphed, counting on 19 points (17 kills, one block, one ace) from American outside hitter Caitie Bird to beat Sancor Maringá Vôlei 3-1 (25-17, 25-19, 12-25, 25-22) on Thursday.

In the first match of the week, on Wednesday, Minas gave no chance to Tijuca Tênis Clube, sweeping (25-19, 25-14, 25-16) them in Belo Horizonte. With 15 points (eight blocks, seven kills), Brazilian national team middle blocker Julia Kudiess was dominant at the net, leading Minas' victory.

Flamengo played on Friday, hosting Brasília Vôlei, and also prevailed in straight sets (25-18, 25-16, 25-23). Olympic medalist opposite Tainara Santos won the match's MVP award after scoring 13 points (11 kills, two blocks), one less than American outside hitter Simone Lee.

Also on Friday, Batavo Mackenzie defeated Paulistano Barueri 3-2 (25-19, 25-17, 24-26, 20-25, 15-13) and Dentil Praia Clube topped SESI Vôlei Bauru in straight sets (25-17, 25-23, 25-17).

The sixth leg of the regular season will start on Friday and will go on until Friday, with six matches.
