Itas Trentino Trento will host Valsa Group Modena at the BTS Arena on Wednesday at 20:30 local time (19:30 UTC). The title holders are on 18 points and a 6-2 win-loss record in third place in the current standings, while their visitors from Modena are running two spots below them, in fifth place on 16 and 5-3. Despite their proximity in the table, Trentino are the clear favorites in this game against Modena. They are on a six-match winning streak in the head-to-head series. The last time Modena managed to beat Trentino was back two years ago, in December 2023. The all-time record between the two clubs stands at 54-35 in favor of Trentino.

“We'll be facing a healthy team that has shown it can compete against any opponent so far, losing just three games, two of which in tiebreaks. Serving and blocking are certainly two of the strong points of Valsa Group, and we'll need to be even more proficient and active in attack and reception. This is one of the classic and most anticipated matches of the entire regular season. We'll try to live it to the fullest and give our fans another great evening." Marcelo Mendez, head coach of Itas Trentino Trento
“It will definitely be a tough match, but we're confident in our abilities and feel ready to face Trento. We have three very tough games ahead of us, but I've learned that here in the SuperLega, every game is tough, and we'll approach them to the best of our ability. I feel that I'm growing, both technically and physically, and as a team, we're on a good path.” Amir Tizi-Oualou, setter of Valsa Group Modena

Another three matches will serve off at the same time on Wednesday, 20:30 (19:30). In one of them, table leaders and reigning European champions Sir Susa Scai Perugia, set to participate in this month’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship in Brazil, will visit bottom-of-the-table Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina at the Savelli hall. Having already played two games more than most of their rivals, Sir top the current standings on 23 and 8-2. Grotazzolina, on the other hand, trail in 12th place, still winless on 1 and 0-8.

In another one, second-placed Rana Verona, the team with the fewest losses in the SuperLega so far this season, will welcome Cisterna Volley to the Agsm AIM hall. Verona stand on 20 and 7-1, while Cisterna are on 6 and 3-5, third from the bottom in 10th place.

Also at 20:30 (19:30) on Wednesday, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza will entertain Sonepar Padova Padua at the Banca Sport hall. The home team is in sixth place on 15 and 5-3, while their visitors are ninth on 8 and 3-5.

Vero Volley Monza and Cucine Lube Civitanova will get their game at the Opiquad Arena underway a quarter of an hour later, at 20:45 (19:45). Lube are running in fourth place on 17 and 15-3, while Vero Volley stand second from the bottom, in 11th place on 4 and 1-8.

One game will take place on Thursday. SuperLega rookies MA Acqua San Bernardo Cuneo will host Allianz Milan at 20:45 (19:45). The two teams are neighbors in the table, but with quite different records. Allianz are seventh on 13 and 5-3, and Cuneo are eighth on 9 and 2-7.
