Top teams out to strengthen positions in Italy

Sir Safety Conad Perugia have a seven-point cushion at the top of the SuperLega Credem Banca standings going into this weekend's matches in Italy, but have played one match more than second-placed Cucine Lube Civitanova and than fourth-placed Itas Trentino. The top two are both in action on Sunday when Perugia take on Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza (fifth) and Civitanova play Vero Volley Monza (seventh) while the encounter between Allianz Milano and third-placed Leo Shoes PerkinElmer Modena has been postponed due to Covid-19 cases.
